Genetic Modifications

Genetic Modifications Guidelines

​

Genetic Modifications require avatar approval along with application. If you are using a genetic modification you must provide a picture of your avatar or meet with an admin in person. If you are also using cybernetics you cannot have two of each. You will pick Option 4.

1.) You may pick no more than 2 genetic modifications. If you pick Option 4 you may only have one genetic modification and one augmentation. Please note some of the options include up to two options. Each option explains what you are allowed or not. Some have bonus some do not. If you are making use of one of your modifications in RP you must state it when you are posting. Example [ /me attempts to lift up Bobby over his head and slam him down to the ground. (genetic mod Strength +3)] You can then add it in your roll. Please note that as with our stacking rules these also apply.

2.) A note on genetic modifications: You use these if you are a human. Some races already have similar things. If you already have them as part of your race then you will want to pick something your race does not have.

3.) If you have any augmentations you may only pick one genetic modification. If you have no augmentations you may propose two max. If they are too OP together we will likely ask you to modify. 

​

4.) Most of these are just to add creativity and story fluff to your character and roleplay. Not everything is going to be worth the same. Not everyone will be allowed the same. It is determined by the rest of what you have on your application. Please be sure to fully explain how you came to have your modifications in your back story and remember to supply a photograph to go with your physical modifications. Thank you.

You May Pick Two:

​

Option 1: Animal Features : Animal features do not allow you to obtain animal senses but they do allow you to have animal physical appearances. You cannot have a full animal form. You cannot look like a furry. However you can look similar to a type of neko or half-shift animal. Vampires, Changeling, and wolves cannot have this option. There are no bonuses on this option.

Option 2: Extra Senses : You can get better hearing OR sight as a modification. This may include night vision. If you choose both hearing and sight you are using your total allowed modifications. You may get +1 on any roll to see through hard visibility or within 30 meters. You may get +1 on your dice to hear or see something from a distance or see motive. You cannot hear through walls and ground, please do not try. This is like a spidey sense but with limitations.

Option 3: Extra Strength or Speed: You can have enhanced speed or strength. If you choose both you use both slots. These genetic modifications do not give you godlike powers. You may have only +2 for a round, twice per combat. Some races already have similiar, if they do you cannot add. If you choose both you still only have +2 on your dice rolls as stated, you do not get +4.

Option 4: Genetic Modification and Augmentation Pairing. Cannot have more than one of each. Pick one genetic and one augmentation based on rules.

Option 5: Regeneration Hard to Kill: You can still be killed if you are beheaded or shot/stabbed in the heart, or injured consistently with no chance to regenerate. If you are injured in a vital organ unless you have some treatment help in your regeneration process you can still die. Even Dr. Who and Deadpool can die.  You can heal for 1 HP per combat.

   -Moderate wounds take up to one hour to fully heal. (Bullet/stab wounds)
   -Limbs and appendages take 2 weeks time at minimum to grow back. 
   -Major wounds may take a day or two.

    -Fatal wounds will regenerate if you have aided treatment and up to one week.

Option 6: Other Modifications - There are no bonuses on these modifications.

    -Enhanced intelligence: You are like a slower computer and beyond a photographic memory. You are a genius but closer to a computer. You use 60% of your brain compared to the normal 10% of a normal human.

    -Gimpy: You can stretch your limbs to reach something up to 20 meters. You can essentially squeeze your body into small spaces. This is however a temporary situation and after 2 rounds you might want to get out of tight spaces or you are stuck there as your body will reform to the norm.

    -Spiderman: You can crawl up walls and rooftops with ease like Nightcrawler and Spiderman. There are no bonuses for this option.

    -Thickskin: This allows you a +1 against attacks for one round of combat. You may do this twice during combat.
